| Transit position paper. I fully endorse Mayor Barrett’s transit plan including the trolley element. I support a dedicated sales tax for funding the existing three county RTA. I support the building of the KRM line. I support Milwaukee County divesting itself of the transit system and incorporating it into an RTA run system. I support a unified system with transfers between commuter rail, bus, and trolley in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha. I support an active public dialog about the future of mass transit and an exploration of ways in which we can move our nation away from oil dependency, toward lower CO2 emissions, and toward sustainable development.
